    General Announcements

     

    Morning!  Tomorrow, we will have our first day of MCA Math testing that will be doing 1st hour!  Make sure to bring your headphones and a fully charged Chromebook.  Also, be sure to stop in the lunch room before school starts for free breakfast.  Any questions see Mr. Palokangas.

     

    Students wanting to see Mr. Palokangas, Mrs. Sturm, or Ms. Guggisberg have to stop in the office and make an appointment first. Students are not allowed to just go to these offices without a pass and an appointment.

     

    Starting today if you enter school without a mask your parents will be called prior to you receiving a mask from either office. 

     

    Firearms safety class is going to be offered.  The Field Day will be held on Saturday, May 22.  You must be 11 years old to begin the on-line class.  The on-line class must be completed before attending the Field Day.  For more information, please stop in the ms/hs office.

     

    Athletics

     

    Baseball, Softball and Tennis players, if you wish to ride home with your parents from away games/matches you need to follow Redwood Valley's policy which is a note written by your parent must be given to your principal (Mrs. Yackley) the day before the away game.  This allows coaches to be properly informed before game time.

     

    Good Luck to the Tennis players who will be participating in a match at Waseca.  Excused at 1:50 and bus will stop pick up at 2:00.

     

    Golf meet at Oakdale has been cancelled.  Practice after school for 9-12 at the Mayflower.

     

    Baseball games has been cancelled.  JH will have practice.  Varsity and JV will not have practice.  Bus leaves at 3:20

     

    JH Softball game has been cancelled.  Practice at Redwood.  Bus leaves at 3:20.

     

    Track practice at Sleepy Eye.  Bus leaves at 3:20.

     

    Weight room will be available after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  It will also be available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:30.

     

    High School

     

    Registration for Fall PSEO classes has started.  Juniors and seniors who are thinking of taking PSEO classes next school year have to let Mr. Palokangas know by May 30th otherwise students will be ineligible.  Students interested can pick up a form with Mr. Palokangas.  

     

    There are several job opportunities posted in the junior/senior hallway:

              *Lifeguard at the Morgan Pool-applications in the ms/hs office.  Please return your completed application to the City Office.

              *Seasonal Summer Maintenance for City of Redwood Falls.

    Scholarships

     

    Citizenship Scholarship and the Brent Koch Scholarships are due to Mr. Palokangas by May 1st.  

     

    Applications are out for the Erik Welter Memorial Fund Scholarship and the Cedar Mountain Community Scholarship and that the due date back Mr. Palokangas by May 3rd

     

    Also available from Mr. Palokangas is the Leslie and Irene Wegner Scholarship.

     

    Ryan Anderson Memorial Scholarship and the Cedar Mountain Alumni Scholarship due back to Mr. Palokangas by May 3rd.

     

    The Otto Loose Family Scholarship is due back May 3rd.

     

    Larry Wepplo CPA Scholarship due back to Mr. Palokangas by May 3rd.
