4th grade students will have language arts everyday with me for an hour to cover the wide range of skills and concepts. Language arts consists of the following six skills: comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, phonics/spelling, grammar, and writing. Every week they will focus on various concepts in each one of these skills. It is also vital that students spend time reading their library books at home every day. There will sometimes be homework for Language Arts depending on how much we accomplish in class.             Remember though that studying spelling words is homework every night!
