    Athletics:

    BBB: The boys’ lockers and locker room area in the Locker Room need to be completely cleaned out by the end of the school day TODAY, March 14th.  Custodians will be cleaning this room afterwards. 

    Track and Field:

    Softball: Practice in Redwood.  The bus leaves at 325 pm.

    Baseball: Practice in Redwood.

    Junior High baseball players: you’ll have a team meeting after school next Tuesday, March 18th, in Redwood to meet with coaches and go through team expectations.  The bus leaves school at 325 pm and will return you afterwards. 

    Golf:

    Tennis: Any boys in Grades 7-12 interested in joining the tennis team should stop by Mr. Robinson’s room during RISE time on Monday, March 17th. 

     

    Athletes who need to transport themselves to and from practices or games need to complete the school activity transportation liability waiver

     

    There are sign-up sheets for all Spring Athletics in the MS/HS Office. 

     

    Drama Club: Play practices in the auditorium.

    • Friday: 345-545

     

    Music: It is MIOSM or Music in Our Schools Month.  In March, we celebrate that schools have music programs which bring music into the world as young musicians strive to give back to their community and others by giving them the gift of music.  March 17-19 will be dress-up days in recognition of MIOSM:

    • Monday, March 17: Dress like your favorite style of music.
    • Tuesday, March 18: Concert Dress – Been to a concert? Wear what you bought there.  Wish you could go to a concert? Wear what you would wear if you went to one.
    • Wednesday, March 19: Dress like your favorite musician.

     

    Speech: The next tournament will be this upcoming Saturday, March 15, at RTR.

    Middle School/High School:

     

    A reminder to students regarding breakfast and lunch choices.  You must take the minimum selections at each meal time.  When you are told you don’t have enough of the food groups represented to make it a qualifying meal, you need to respect the lunch cashier and complete the meal before your number can be entered.  These are not Cedar Mountain rules.  These are State rules for all public schools in MN.  We will be having conversations with those who are not following the rules as well as the parents/guardians if we need to. 

     

    Upcoming early dismissals and no school:

    • March 20th – No school – Staff Inservice .5 half day/Staff .5 work day
    • March 21st – No school for Students or Staff

     

    Congrats to everyone who made the Honor Roll!  The honor roll certificate sheets are almost ready to go for 2nd Quarter and will be handed out soon. 

     

    There are Twix candy bars from the concession stand for sale before and after school only.  $2.00 each.    

     

    General:

    Firearms Safety All Day Field Day will be Saturday, April 26th, from 745 am until 200 pm.  The day begins at the Morgan Public Library on Vernon Avenue in Morgan.  Register soon before the field day fills up!  You must be 11 years old or older to attend.  Pre-register by calling Dan Kettner at 507-430-1325.  Rain or shine, the class will be completed on April 26th.  There’s a flier in the MS/HS Office with more information.
