Cedar Mountain Middle School/High School

Pledge of Allegiance (Read by Principal Miller on Mondays before the announcements)

Please stand:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which is stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 

Athletics:

GBB: Practice in Morgan.  The bus leaves at 600 pm.

MS GBB: Practice in Morgan.  The bus leaves at 600 pm. 

Dance: Practice in Morgan until 600 pm. 

Gymnastics: Practice in Redwood until 615 pm.  Transportation leaves at 325 pm. 

S.A.L.T. is hosting an Intramural Volleyball Night.  Join us on November 20th at 630 pm in the gym!  This is for Grades 9th through 12th as well as CM staff.  Create a team and sign up in the MS/HS Office to take part in the fun!   

Weight Room Reminder: Open every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for now from 630-730 am.  Doors will be open from 625-650 am to get in daily. 

Middle School/High School:

Starting Monday, November 17th, there will be a Food Drive with donations going to We Care.  Bring your donations to your RISE teacher’s room.  The class with the most donations will get a prize next week!

Middle School students can go to their lockers starting at 800 am instead of 805 am. We will work with Tech to have an 800 am bell added to the bell schedules. This to give you more time in getting ready for 1st hour, not for any shenanigans.

Honor Roll Breakfast (for both A and B honor rolls) in Grades 6-12 will take place on Thursday, November 20th.  Scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, toast and milk will be served before school out of the Concession Stand.  Congratulations to all who made the honor roll! 

Early Dismissal at 1202 pm on Friday, November 14th.

World Kindness Day is today, Thursday, November 13th.  Let us make the week all about kindness! 

  • Be the Change: Bring in your spare change Wednesday-Friday and place in your grade levels’ container DURING LUNCH times.  The grade with the most change by Friday wins the awesome reward of leaving for lunch 2 minutes early every full Friday not including early dismissals, in December and January!
  • Cards of Kindness: During RISE on Thursday, we will be making cards for residents in local nursing homes to spread smiles and cheer.
  • Wear Purple: Show your kind spirit on Thursday by wearing purple to represent unity and kindness.

Let us show how powerful kindness can be!

Juniors and Seniors: Dakota State University will be here for a college visit on Tuesday, November 18th, at 230 pm.

The Junior class is selling a variety chocolate bars to raise money for prom!  Find a Junior or see Ms. Sorenson to purchase candy bars.  They are $1.00 each.   

Santa’s Closet of Renville County application forms are now available.  If you live in Renville County and need some extra assistance this holiday season, please request a form from either of our offices.  Forms must be turned in by December 10th.   

We Care Project Christmas Packages – If you or someone you know could use support with food during the holiday season, We Care is here to help!  Call Jessica at 507-430-6564 to schedule a Christmas package.  Deliveries are available within a 30-mile radius of Morgan.  Regular hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 830 am to 1130 am and Wednesdays 500 pm to 700 pm.  Christmas week hours are Wednesday, December 17th: 900 am to 800 pm deliveries and 1200 pm to 800 pm for pick up.  Thursday, December 18th open 900 am to 300 pm for pick up.  Coats for Kids will be at We Care December 17th and 18th.  We Care is located at 206 Fergus Avenue in Morgan.  Website is morganwecareproject.com.
