Hosting a foreign exchange student is a wonderful opportunity to bring the world into your home and school community. It allows families and students to learn about new cultures, traditions, and perspectives firsthand—broadening understanding and appreciation for global diversity. Exchange students often form lasting friendships with their host families and peers, enriching classroom discussions and school activities with their unique experiences. By hosting, you not only help a student experience life in the U.S., but you also create lasting connections that make the world feel a little smaller and a lot more connected.
