Pledge of Allegiance (Read by Principal Miller on Mondays before the announcements)

Please stand:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which is stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 

Athletics:

Baseball:  Practice in Redwood.  The bus leaves at 325 pm.

Golf: Match vs. GHEC/Truman at Rose Lake in Fairmont.  Dismissal at 145 pm.  The bus leaves at 200 pm from the District Office end.  No practice for JH/JV today due to the varsity meet.  Practice at the course will resume tomorrow for all golfers.      

Track: Invite at Lake Crystal.  Dismissal at 210 pm.  The bus leaves at 220 pm from the District Office end.

Softball: Game in Sleepy Eye.  Dismissal at 230 pm.  The bus leaves at 245 pm.  Redwood Valley is doing the pick-up.

Tennis: Match vs. Luverne in Redwood.

Football: Coach Freitag would like to meet with football players in Grades 6-11 at 1235 pm TODAY, Tuesday, April 14th, in Health Room 216. 

Photos today, April 14th, in the Auditorium with Mrs. Poppe during RISE: Baseball and Softball then Track and then Trap.  All calls will be made when each group should head down. 

Middle School/High School:

MCA testing is going on now through the end of April.  Students should be coming to school with wired headphones, a charged Chromebook and have eaten a good breakfast each morning. 

Cedar Mountain Schools Scholarships applications are available in Mr. Palokangas’ office and online on the school website under Counselors Corner.  Applications are due back to Mr. Palokangas on Friday, April 24th, by the end of the day. 

All seniors:

  • Please submit a senior picture for the yearbook to Ms. Sorenson by May 1st.  If you do not submit a senior picture, your latest Lifetouch portrait will go in the yearbook. 

Speech Team: Congratulations to Macaria and Baxter! They’re both going to sectionals for Speech on April 18th! Best of luck to both of you!

Early Dismissals:

  • Early dismissal at 1202 pm on Friday, April 17th.
  • Early dismissal at 1202 pm on Friday, May 1st.

General:

Firearm Safety Field Day is Saturday, April 25th from 745 am to 200 pm.  The class begins at the Morgan Public Library on Vernon Ave and ends at the Sportsman’s Range.  Rain or shine the class will be completed this date.  To prepare for the field day you must first complete the on-line classwork.  This will take 12 hours or more.  Please send registration info to Dan Kettner 507-430-1325.

There’s concession stand candy available for purchase in the MS/HS Office after school.  Kinds include M&Ms (plain and peanut), Skittles (original and Wild Berry), and Starburst.  Each candy $1.00 each.
