Pledge of Allegiance (Read by Principal Miller on Mondays before the announcements) 

Please stand:

Athletics:

Athletics: If you have not already done so, please register in BOUND for winter activities.  Registration is currently open for

  • Basketball – MS and HS for Boys and Girls
  • Dance
  • Wrestling
  • Gymnastics
  • Speech
  • One Act Play
  • Knowledge Bowl
  • For those of you who did not participate in football, volleyball, or cross country in the fall, families must create a profile before registering for an activity.  MSHSL eligibility paperwork is included in the registration (not necessary if you’ve already participated this year) and there’s space for you to upload a physical.  Physicals are due every 3 years, typically 6th, 9th, and 12th grade.  Thanks

Basketball: Team meeting for JH during MS lunch on Friday, November 6th, in the Conference Room. 

JH BBB signup is in the MS/HS office.  Practice will start on November 16th.  There will be a meeting in Mr. Robinson’s room next Tuesday during lunch for those interested in participating.

Dance: See the November calendar below. The bus leaves at 325 pm for Wabasso practices. Please dress comfortably and bring water!

Weight Room: Open each morning except Wednesdays from 630 am to 730 am.  Doors into the school will be open from 625-650.  Open to ALL 6th-12th grade students.

 Middle School/High School: 

No school on Monday, November 9th, for a staff development day.

FFA:

  • FFA Fundraisers due to Ms. Johnson by Friday, November 13th. Make sure to add your fruit order online. 
  • Friday, November 20th: Region Contest: Milk Quality, Veterinary Science, and Poultry
  • Region V Barn Dance on Friday, November 20th. Please talk to Ms. Johnson if you are interested. 
  • FFA Chapter Meeting Monday, November 23rd.

Theatre:

  • Friday, November 6th: Performance at 7; cast members need to be there at 6:15.
  • Saturday, November 7th: Performance at 7; cast members need to be there at 6:15.

One Act: Audition sign-up sheet is outside of Mr. Wiebe’s classroom.  There are available slots next week Tuesday through Thursday from 330-430 pm and Thursday morning from 735-815 am.  Please see Mr. Wiebe with any questions.

Band: Band and choir students in grades 7-12 have a wreath fundraiser.  Orders are due today, Friday, Nov. 6th.

There is a change when getting a loaner Chromebook.  Please bring your Chromebook issues to the MS/HS Office.  Sandy or Angie will assign you a loaner Chromebook.  Please do not just take a loaner from the library.  When your Chromebook is fixed, you will receive an email and can pick it up in the MS/HS Office.     

Bottled water is again available in the MS/HS Office at $1.00 each.  Bottles of water can be purchased before school, at lunch and after school – not during class or passing times. 

Junior Class is selling candy bars.  We have a box in the MS/HS.  Candy bars can be purchased for $2.00 each before and after school.  

We have several 25-26 school year yearbooks left to purchase at $35.00 each on a first come (with money), first serve basis.  Yearbooks must be paid for before being picked up.   

General:

Cedar Mountain will be having a Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11th, at 1000am in the Gymnasium 207 Gallager Street in Morgan, MN.  We are honored to welcome Ms. Stephanie Backer, Redwood County Assistant Veterans Service Officer. Ms. Backer joined the United States Navy (U.S. Navy) in 2004. She worked as an Information Systems Technician on the flight deck of the USS Stennis, on the USS Nimitz, and at Tinker Air Force Base. She has served in the military for over 22 years, including active duty and the Navy Reserves. She still serves our local community by helping veterans in Redwood County.  Our Fine Arts programs from both buildings will provide music. The band, choir, and elementary music programs will share their talents during the event.  We welcome all families, community members, and local veterans to attend.
