Early Dismissal – Monday January 26

Dear Cedar Mountain Public School Families,

We would like to sincerely thank you for your patience and flexibility during today’s early dismissal. As many of you are aware, we experienced a mechanical failure in our heating system this morning that made it impossible to maintain a comfortable learning environment for our students and staff.

Our maintenance teams are currently on-site working to restore the system to full operation. While these aging mechanical components can be unpredictable, we are doing everything in our power to ensure the building remains warm and functional for the remainder of the school year. We understand that recurring maintenance issues can be frustrating. We want to reassure you that a permanent solution is already in motion. The complete replacement of Franklin Elementary’s heating and cooling infrastructure is a centerpiece of our building improvement bond. Comprehensive upgrades to the HVAC system are scheduled to take place in the  summer of 2026. This project will provide our school with a modern, reliable system that ensures our students can focus on learning without the distraction of temperature fluctuations. During these winter months, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our absolute priority. We will continue to monitor building temperatures around the clock. Should any further mechanical issues arise that compromise the safety or comfort of our school community, we will notify you as early as possible regarding schedule changes.

We appreciate your continued support of Cedar Mountain Public Schools as we work toward these much-needed facility improvements.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the main office.

Sincerely,

John Cselovszki
