Mrs. Ann Vote
Social Studies Teacher
About Mrs. Vote:
After growing up in Mankato and gaining her teaching degree at Minnesota State Univeristy, Mankato, Ann Vote came to Morgan in 2005 as she started her teaching career. She taught Social Studies-7, US History-10 and World History/Geography-11 for the 9 years she was at Cedar Mountain. During her time she also taught a few electives, her favorite being Advanced Placement World History. "It is fun working with students who are being pushed to accomplish more and at a very high quality for an advanced class," Mrs. Vote explains.
Mrs. Vote was married in 2010 and she and her husband reside in Morgan with their two kids. In 2014, at the soon to be arrival of her second child, Mrs. Vote took a few years off to be a stay-at-home mom and work part-time for a non-profit that serves area students in the summer.
In the summer of 2016, the opportunity arose for Mrs. Vote to return to teaching back at Cedar Mountain due to a long-term substitute position opening in the Art Department. Following that six week position, the Social Studies position that she is now in opened and Mrs. Vote was excited to apply. She returned to the Cedar Mountain Staff full-time in January 2017. "I am so happy to be back where I belong...in a classroom teaching our youth!" exclaims Mrs. Vote.
During the 2016-2017 school year, Mrs. Vote teaches Social Studies-7, Leadership-7, Civics 9, and Leadership 9.
