Homecoming 2007

Cedar Mountain vs HBCE on Thursday, October 4th

Homecoming at Cedar Mountain School will be October 1-5. The Blue Crue has been organizing many events for that week. All week classes will be competing against each other in activities. Classes will be making posters, floats and preparing skits to be judged by staff. Other activities include a “mummy” relay, “blindfold football”, Cougar Bingo, and volleyball, dodge ball and ping pong tournaments. The class who receives the most points will be names “Most Spirited” and will receive a trophy to be displayed in a trophy case in the junior-senior hallway.

Monday, October 1st:
  • Dress Up:
    • "Safety Equipment/Injury Day"
  • Activities:
    • JV football at Westbrook Walnut Grove - 4:30
    • JH volleyball vs Redwood Valley in Franklin - 4:30
    • In the evening, the seniors will present their Variety Show in the gym at 7:30. Admission is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for students. The Variety Show is directed by Katie Seifert and Julia Garms
    • Coronation will follow the Variety Show
Tuesday, October 2nd:
  • Dress Up:
    • “Fashion Disaster/Nerd and Geek Day”
  • Activities:
    • Pepfest by the Spirit Squad in the auditorium
    • Some of the classes will be presenting skits to show their spirit
    • junior high football at Wabasso
    • homecoming volleyball match vs Wabasso - 5:00
    • Royalty will be announced before the beginning of the varsity match
Wednesday, October 3rd:
  • Dress Up:
    • "Wear his/her class color, collect autographs or dress as you favorite celebrity"
      • Staff - purple
      • seniors - black and pink
      • juniors - yellow
      • sophomores - gray
      • freshman - red
      • eighth grade - orange
      • seventh grade - green
Thursday, October 4th:
  • Dress Up:
    • "Cougar Pride Day"
  • Activities:
    • In the afternoon, there will be a parade led by the homecoming royal court through Morgan beginning at 2:00. All classes will have floats as well as the football, volleyball and cross-country teams
    • Immediately after the parade, there will be a pepfest in the gym. Approximate start time is 2:30
    • cross-country at Madelia - 4:30
    • junior high football vs. McLeod West - 4:30
    • junior high volleyball at McLeod West - 4:30
    • Cedar Mountain Education Minnesota - Tailgate Party at the field. All funds raised go to the Education Scholarship
    • varsity football match up against HBCE is at 7:00 in Morgan
Friday, October 5th:
  • Dress Up:
    • "Costume (Superhero or Cartoon Characters)/Twin Day"
  • Activities:
    • dance for grades 9-12 in the auditorium starting at 7:30 and ending at 11:30. Music in Motion is the DJ

During all of homecoming week, a variety of contests are held for students in grades 7-12 and staff. In addition, all classes were invited to make posters and floats and prepare skits for the pepfest.

    **Each day classes will compete in a variety of challenges. Based on the outcome of these competitions, skits, posters, floats and participation in dress up days, a "Most Spirited Class" award will be given.

    **DRESS UP DAYS: Handbook Rules Apply! (With the exception to hats IF they go with your outfit)

    We encourage that you participate in all events and dress up days, but REMEMBER that you must still be able to participate in class!
