Dances

The date for a dance must be approved by an administrator. Students in Grades 9-12 may participate. Outside entrance doors to the building shall be locked within one hour or other predetermined time after the beginning of the dance. No student leaving the dance will be readmitted unless arrangements have been made with the administration and/or chaperones beforehand.

All out-of-school guests (Grades 9-12) must be registered in the high school office no later than the closing of school on the day of the event. The guest student will be the responsibility of the student who registers him/her. Only one guest may be registered by a student. A minimum of two teachers and four parents will assist the class advisors in chaperoning each dance. These people will be chosen and asked by the class in charge.

At the fall junior high dance, all 7th graders are eligible to attend (even those who are academically ineligible), but 8th graders need to be eligible. At any other junior high dances, all 7th and 8th graders need to be eligible in order to attend. Junior high dances run from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. All school rules, regardless of sponsorship, apply and will be enforced by a school official.
